List of basketball players who have scored 100 points in a single game - Scoring 100 points in a basketball game is one of the rarest accomplishments in all of sports; indeed, the feat has been done only a handful of times at all levels of competition. While a highly individual achievement, scoring 100 points nevertheless requires cooperation both from the teammates to pass the ball to the player on virtually every possession and from the coach to allow him to stay on the floor.

William Lowell Putnam Mathematical Competition - The William Lowell Putnam Mathematical Competition, often abbreviated to Putnam Competition, is an annual mathematics competition for undergraduate college students, awarding scholarships and cash prizes ranging from $2,500 to $250 for the top students and $25,000 to $5,000 for the top schools. The competition was funded in 1927 by Elizabeth Lowell Putnam in memory of her husband William Lowell Putnam (Harvard 1882), who while alive was an advocate of intercollegiate intellectual competition.

Mandelbrot Competition - The Mandelbrot Competition is a mathematics competition that allows high school students to compete individually and in four-person teams. It is a "correspondence competition," meaning that the competition is sent to a school's coach and students compete at their own school on a predetermined date.

Bertrand competition - Bertrand competition is a model of competition used in economics, named after Joseph Louis François Bertrand (1822-1900). Specifically, it is a model of price competition between duopoly firms which results in each charging the price that would be charged under perfect competition, known as marginal cost pricing.

Genetic and Cultural Evolution of Cooperation by Peter Hammerstein,

Genetic and Cultural Evolution of Cooperation by Peter Hammerstein,
Current thinking in evolutionary biology holds that competition among individuals is the key to understanding natural selection. When competition exists, it is obvious that conflict arises; the emergence of cooperation, however, is less straightforward competition and cooperation and calls for in-depth analysis. Much research is now focused on defining competition and cooperation and expanding the evolutionary models of cooperation. Understanding the mechanisms of cooperation has relevance for fields other than biology. Anthropology, economics, mathematics, political science, primatology, competition and cooperation and psychology are adopting the evolutionary approach competition and cooperation and developing analogies based on it. Similarly, biologists use elements of economic game theory competition and cooperation and analyze cooperation in "evolutionary games." Despite this, exchanges between researchers in these different disciplines have been limited. Seeking to fill this gap, the 90th Dahlem Workshop was convened. This book, which grew out of that meeting, addresses such topics as emotions in human cooperation, reciprocity, biological markets, cooperation competition and cooperation and conflict in multicellularity, genomic competition and cooperation and intercellular cooperation, the origins of human cooperation, competition and cooperation and the cultural evolution of cooperation; the emphasis is on open questions competition and cooperation and future research areas. The book makes a significant contribution to a growing process of interdisciplinary cross-fertilization on this issue.

Cooperative Strategy: Competing Successfully Through Strategic Alliances by Pierre Dussuage,
In recent years, such corporate giants as Boeing, Toyota, Nestl, Philips, United Airlines, IBM, competition and cooperation and Intel have increasingly turned to alliances in order to develop new products competition and cooperation and technologies, enter new markets, competition and cooperation and globalize their activities. Indeed, no one firm, however dominant, can beat the competition entirely on its own. Unfortunately, managers have found collaboration to be a difficult, competition and cooperation and sometimes dangerous, strategy; they have often over-estimated the benefits of alliances while overlooking their pitfalls which only materialize over time. C.K. Prahalad notes in the foreword that "managers need a robust framework for navigating through these uncharted waters" competition and cooperation and that "this book provides an invaluable source of ideas competition and cooperation and practical guidance in their search." As the dynamics of the business landscape change competition and cooperation and alliances become an increasingly used competitive weapon, Cooperative Strategy will enable managers to plan, implement competition and cooperation and make the best use of strategic alliances. "This book significantly advances the literature on strategic alliances. The case studies are fresh competition and cooperation and the insights they provide are powerful. This book is a must read for both managers competition and cooperation and academics interested in cooperative strategies." Nitin Nohria, Professor of Business Administration, Harvard Business School "This book provides an excellent guide to the new skills needed in an environment where more competition and cooperation and more managers must learn to collaborate in order to enhance the competitive position of their company. No-one can become a global leader alone." John M.
